| Can the Italians roar against Venezuela? |
Venezuela and Italy square off today for the third best prize as the FIFA u17 Women's World Cup concludes.
After both losing their Semifinal games, they have to rally up to finish the tournament on a high.
Venezuela come into the game full of confidence, I think, seeing that they have the right weapons to roll over the Italians and have defeated the Italians before. Both sides are from the same group and their game ended 1-0, a certain Deyna Castellanos scored the lone goal for the Venezuelan victory. Italy will have to find away to make sure it's not the same story as it once was.
Deyna Castellanos has scored in all the games, she is the tournament's top scorer with 6 goals and her fellow Venezuelan forward. Gabriela GarcĂa is just as dangerous, having 4 goals to her name.
The Venezuelans didn't have the opportunity to play the attacking game they are know for against Japan but will relish the opportunity to do so against Italy. The Italians however don't have a consistent goal scorer upfront, but they do posses a good defense and a goal keeper who has been quite the talk of their campaign especially after the game against Ghana.
Nicole Peressotti has made great saves in this competition and the team have come far due to that, the defense would have to be prepared for the massive attack of the Venezuelans. But enough about the Italian defense, they do have attacking properties in playmaker, Manuela Giugliano, and their two top scorers, Annamaria Serturini and Gloria Marinelli, the pair have 2 goals each.
Even if it's the third place game, I believe these are two very exciting teams if you have followed the road from how they began the tournament to now, and this would very much be an exciting game.
